Returnable Transit Packaging - why use it

10 Reasons to use Returnable Transit Packaging

Returnable Transit Packaging
Returnable Packaging -
Lowering the cost and Carbon Emissions
Thousands of tonnes of packaging have to be disposed of in the UK every year! This includes cardboard and polystyrene boxes used within the supply chain to transport food.  As environmental issues are becoming more and more important within our society companies are considering switching to returnable Transit Packaging (RTP).

When making this move there are many things that they need to consider including whether they should buy equipment or opt for rental.

When looking into their options a lot of companies have come to PPS, who for over 10 years have been providing clients throughout the UK and Europe with rental and pooling solutions from our comprehensive range of equipment including plastic pallets, trays, crates and boxes.

RTP pooled equipment solutions from PPS offer a simple and easy to manage solution, with controlled online management and predictable one-fee cost with no hidden extras. PPS take the responsibility for retrieving the packaging from third parties, ensuring it meets hygiene standards and return it to the pool.
At PPS we have put together what we believe to be the top 10 benefits of pooling RTP

1.    Financial – RTP is very easy to budget for with one price per product (crate/pallet) for the full service that includes rental, wash, transport and management.  There is no expensive capital outlay needed when equipment is purchased.

2.    Environmental Benefits – Renting and pooling RTP is a sustainable way of conducting business and works towards reducing a company’s carbon footprint.  RTP replaces one-trip disposable packaging that has negative environmental and economic impact. A reduction in waste and possible landfill charges has immediate cost savings and increases overall profitability.

3.    Savings in Transport & Handling - Returnable packaging is usually designed to be stacked or collapsible, reducing storage and transport space and the associated costs.

4.    Improved Protection - Returnable packaging is manufactured and designed to be more robust and durable, helping to reduce the risk of product damage during transit and therefore decreases customer returns. Secure and rigid RTP are ideal for the transportation of fresh, perishable and valuable goods requiring optimum protection – and these can be hygienically washed and returned in to the loop.

5.    Bespoke Solutions - Where customers require, tailored solutions can be provided to meet specific materials handling needs in terms of size, distribution and with health and safety issues in mind.

6.    Conservation - More socially acceptable as the conservation of energy and raw materials throughout the supply chain has both environmental and economical benefits. Lower energy consumption for washing reusable RTP should be considered against higher energy costs for recycling cardboard and timber.

7.    Pooling Benefits - This enables clients to concentrate their efforts, energies and resources into their core business and allows a specialist business to handle their returnable packaging.

8.    Hygienically Clean Product - On delivery, used plastic pool rented products can be collected and washed to BRC approved standards before being retuned into the supply chain for re-use. Most businesses operating strict hygienic standards can take the stock direct to factory floor.  PPS have two modern and hygienic dedicated wash plants in the Midlands and Grimsby for washing of all its own returnable packaging and also extends this service to third parties on ad hoc or contract basis.

9.    Tracking Systems - The success of a pooled rental system depends not only on fit-for-purpose packaging but also on effective control and management of the closed loop system.  PPS customers can access and monitor the precise location of all transit equipment using ‘ENABLE’, which is a bespoke PPS web-based online tracking system for management of product and unit distribution. Input of data can be integrated with customers own software systems or can be input directly via the PPS website. Receiving locations can also monitor deliveries to assess for collection needs.

10.    Flexibility of Service - Products are available in large and small volumes for long or short term periods and therefore provides the maximum flexibility to cater for seasonal peaks and troughs. Customers no longer need to hold on to high levels of stock during seasonal lows.

PPS can assist customers investigate the feasibility of replacing current single use packaging with bespoke reusable packaging and projects have experience and been involved in many industrial sectors including food, fish, meat & poultry processing, retail, automotive, electronics, etc.

Office Churn - Crate Hire for Business Moves

Office Churn - Business Regorganisation of Workspace

David Peggie & Joanne Moss - PPS Equipment
PPS has recently entered into a new industry – the removals industry!  We now not only rent and wash returnable transit equipment (RTE) for the food, retail and automotive industries.  We now hire removal crates and equipment.  Our removal crates are being rented out to commercial removal companies as well as schools, colleges and businesses conduction their own moves.

Throughout the process of launching our new service we have found ourselves learning all about the removals industry.  Everyone within this industry has been with welcoming and has provided us with insights into their area of expertise.  It is through them that we discovered the term ‘office churn’.

Office churn is where companies regularly reorganise their workspace.  People often move departments within a company and sometimes whole departments can move to make the workspace more efficient.  Obviously when people move all their equipment and files have to move with them.

PPS can help companies with office churn by providing a constant supply of rental crates onsite.   We can arrange to have crates permanently onsite for companies who regularly reorganise their space.  The crates can then be used as when they are needed giving staff time to unpack.  If at any time extra crates are need PPS would be able to supply them from our pool.

We also have specific computer crates that allow all the important IT equipment to be packed together.  We appreciate that it is important equipment is not damaged whilst it is transported so we can supply bubble wrap to complement our sturdy removal crates.  Handling equipment is also available to prevent any health and safety problems.

See our recent article published in "The Mover"

Crate Hire for School or College Refurbishments

School or College Refurbishment and looking for storage crates?

Crate hire from PPS.

Now that autumn is here summer seems long gone and all the children are back at school and college some of our rental crates are starting to return.

Over the summer holiday period schools and colleges often undergo refurbishments whilst the students are out of the way.  Whilst the work is taking place they need somewhere safe to store all their equipment and files to protect them from damage.  This is where crate hire from PPS comes in.

PPS Crate Hire ideal for School or College Storage
of files or equipment

Our plastic crates are strong and durable with attached lids to protect the contents.  This makes them perfect for a school/college refurbishment.

We always experience increased demand for crate hire over the summer period.  Businesses also tend to be quieter at this time making it an ideal time to plan a move and create as little disruption as possible.

Professional and commercial moves require crate hire to transport all the equipment and paperwork securely from the old premises to the new one.

PPS hires crates for this use alongside removal equipment such as sack trucks and dollies for safe handling and bubble wrap for extra protection.

We also hire specially designed computer crates to keep all the IT equipment together.

"Crate hire sure to be a busy time at PPS"

Therefore although the summer period is quiet for many industries it is a very busy time for the crate hire department at PPS.

Now that our summer rentals are starting to return we are washing the rental crates and sending them straight out to new customers.  It looks like it’s going to be a busy autumn/winter for crate hire at PPS!

Crate Hire - The Key to crate rental and hire

Good quality equipment and a professional service is the key to crate hire

Crate Hire for Office Moves
PPS Make Office Moves Easy keeping
the customers satisfied and happy
When professional companies, local authorities, schools and hospitals embark on a location move they need it all to go without a hitch.  They cannot let their customers, patients or students down.

Directors, mangers and all key members of staff spend great time and money organising their move, sometimes years of planning can go into the larger scale relocations.  They will have a schedule in place and they will require a professional service from all their contract providers from the packers, to the transport right through to the all-important crate hire.

This is where PPS comes in; we pride ourselves in offering the best service to our customers.  The crate hire will be one part of the whole removal process but it is vital it goes to plan.  Without our rental crates there would be nothing to pack all the equipment in!  The hire crates and equipment will all arrive on time at the agreed location ready for use.  We can even offer next day and timed delivery slots if required.

Our expert commercial moves team will guide you throughout the process by advising on how many crates you will need to hire.  They will also let you know about all the other equipment on offer from our specially designed computer crates, sack barrows for safe handling right through to bubble wrap for added protection and crate labels for identification.  The commercial moves team will be available throughout your move and they can arrange for rental periods to be extended and extra crates can be hired.

Crate Hire – Moving Offices or Premises

Plastic crates ready to go out to customers for transporting of files, documents or equipment

Crate Hire

Over the last few weeks our store room has almost reached bursting point as we prepare to launch our new crate hire service. After much planning and preparation we are now ready to go with our first rentals being sent out this week.

At PPS we now offer crate rental to our customers who are moving offices or refurbishing their existing spaces. We have invested in a large pool of lidded plastic crates that can be used to store all your files, documents and equipment.

With over 10 years of experience in the rental of returnable equipment crate hire for the removal and storage industry seemed like the perfect next step. We are bringing the vast knowledge we have gained renting out returnable boxes and providing a professional and reliable service to removals industry. One added advantage that we have over our competitors is an onsite wash plant where our removal crates will be washed and dried after each use, our rental crates will arrive customers on the agreed date clean and ready to use.

Surrounded by Bubble Wrap

Moving is a stressful time so we have made our service as easy to use as possible. All our equipment can be ordered online or by phone and our sales team can offer advice on the number of crates that you will need to hire. We can also be very flexible by extending your rental period if necessary and increasing the number of crates that you have on hire. Moving doesn’t always go to plan!

When we were investigating this new crate rental service we decided that we should offer a full range of removal equipment to complement our rental crates including dollies and sack barrows for safe handling and bubble wrap to protect the contents. We also have labels to help you identify the contents and security seals for added protection. Our store room is now so full with all our equipment I have boxes of labels under my desk!

After all the time and planning that has gone into our crate hire service it is really exciting to see all the orders coming in and the crates going out on rental. Before we know it our store room will be half empty!

Returnable Transit Packaging for Christmas Food Deliveries

Christmas in Retail and Food Processing Industries

Plans for Christmas in certain retail sectors started in January and now there's Only 4 months to go!

I can’t believe that we have reached August bank holiday weekend already!  Summer has been and gone (was it ever here???) and before we know it the shops will be full of Christmas merchandise!

I know, I said the dreaded ‘C’ word, in August. Personally I love Christmas and I bought my first Christmas presents in January. I love all the build-up, the excitement on children’s faces and most of all the food!

Returnable Transport Packaging for Christmas DeliveriesSometimes as consumers we don’t realise all the time and work that goes into making sure that all the edible Christmas delights arrive on our supermarket shelves ready for the festive period.  Since working closely with the food processing industry supplying them with various types of returnable transit packaging including plastic trays, crates and pallets alongside providing hygienic equipment washing I have begun to realise the lengthy process Christmas entails. They need to make sure that we have enough mince pies, turkey and of course brussel sprouts to fill our plates and at PPS we have to provide the food processers with enough plastic pallets, trays and crates to store their important produce in.

Christmas preparation in the food production industry starts as early as January but at PPS we notice a big increase in our tray rental in the summer months.  As soon as the sun comes out all the seasonal tray hire enquiries come in.  Luckily at PPS we have over 10 years of experience in the supply of returnable transit packaging and we have become accustomed to industry trends making us well prepared for the seasonal spikes.  We always ensure that we have a large rental pool of equipment ready for our customers including plastic pallets, trays, crates and returnable fish boxes.

I know some of you will be reading this and think I’ve gone mad talking about Christmas but everyone in food processing and retail will have started thinking about Christmas months ago to make sure we have everything we could possible want during the Christmas period.

Contact us for more information about seasonal rental.

Reusable Pallet Boxes in Demand

Reusable Plastic Pallet Boxes a Winner with the Supply Chain

Increasing Demand for PPS Range of Reusable Plastic Pallet Boxes.

PPS have experienced an increase in demand over the past months for the rental, sale and washing of pallet boxes at both their Midlands and Grimsby facilities.

collapsible pallet boxes
The reusable pallet box is proving to be an increasingly flexible solution for the transportation and storage of goods for a variety applications and industrial sectors. Pallet boxes can be rigid or collapsible and where necessary an insulated double skin pallet box can be supplied where insulation and/or strength are key requirements.

PPS offers for sale both new and used pallet boxes and Dolavs. We also offer pallet box rental solutions for both ad hoc and long term rentals. In addition at both our sites in Grimsby and Measham where we have state of the art pallet box washing facilities for our own pool of plastic pallet boxes we also offer this wash service to customers that require a pallet box washing or a Dolav washing service for their own equipment fleet.

To highlight the versatility of our range of plastic pallet boxes we have detailed below some of the current applications:

•    A fleet of 2,000 collapsible pallet boxes are currently on hire to a supplier to the National Health Service to facilitate an equipment move between hospitals in different locations throughout the UK. The collapsible pallet box proved to be the most cost effective solution due the distances involved and the need to keep transport costs to a minimum.
•    We currently provide our full service reusable pallet box solution (rigid pallet box rental, pallet box washing & transport) to a food processor for the transportation of fish by-products for processing into fish meal prior to forwarding to the Far East.
•    We have been providing a pallet box rental and pallet box washing service to a food processor for a pool of rigid pallet boxes for use within their manufacturing facility that are used for the storage of oils and breadcrumbs within their value added process.

The recycling industry is another sector where PPS is receiving increasing enquiries for the rental and purchase of reusable pallet boxes. DEFRA statistics highlight that the UK generates approximately 300 million tonnes of waste each year. There is an increasing legal requirement being place on both manufacturers and users of products and packaging to ensure that a proportion of the materials is recovered and recycled.

The PPS range of reusable pallet boxes are particularly suited to pallet box loops set up to facilitate the recycling process and are suitable for a range of recovery operations including batteries, glass, paper, food waste, oils and fats.

Our plastic pallet boxes come in a variety of sizes and specifications, are durable and can withstand cleaning temperatures up to 100 degrees C. Our products are available in virgin and recycled food grade approved HDPE in both solid and perforated plastic pallet boxes. PPS can put in place a range of long term and short term packages to meet all customers’ needs including pallet box rental, pallet box washing and transportation if required.

Food Manufacturers - How to reduce waste packaging & improve supply chains

Food Manufacturers Returnable Transit Equipment
Food Manufacturers see huge benefits in
using returnable transit packaging

PPS would like to offer food manufacturers the opportunity to improve their inbound supply chains.

We are looking for like-minded businesses that wish to reduce their waste packaging material, or are looking to improve efficiencies within the handling of packaging materials from suppliers.

PPS can offer many ways for all food producers to:

1.    Streamline and make the handling of supplies easier
2.    Reduce the levels of waste created by single use packaging (Outer Cartons)
3.    Cut out time wasting practices at the back door by simplifying the handling of packaging materials
4.    Reduce the need to sort through multiple types of RTP
5.    Single source RTP Packaging for all inbound deliveries

Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) comes in many forms, standard sized plastic crates/boxes, plastic pallets, attached lid containers/Tote Boxes and 1000L IBC units for bulk powders and liquids, at PPS we are pleased to be able to offer a solution no matter what the product is.

Our expertise in managing Pools of specialised equipment means you don’t have too use valuable cash flow to fund simple operations.

We have over 10 years experience within the meat industry and 20 years experience within the fresh fish industry, which has been quick to accept the benefits of using a reusable box for the transportation of a valuable commodity.

Reducing costs within business can sometimes be difficult to achieve, however PPS are not only able to reduce costs within your supply chain, we are also able to offer an additional revenue stream in the process, please see our example below.

Raw materials supplier “A” uses 150,000 cardboard boxes pa at a cost of £0.45 per box, £67,500.00 pa total spend

Supplier “B” uses 150,000 trips using PPS RTP at a cost of £0.35 per trip (Inclusive), £52,500.00

By converting Supplier “A” to RTP it generates a saving of £15,000 pa for the supplier for which a percentage could be claimed back by the buyer for helping too reduce the supply chain costs for the operation.

Create additional revenue streams by converting your suppliers to PPS RTP!

Incentives for supplier conversion

Studies completed by WRAP confirm that there are all round benefits associated with using RTP, against the more traditional method of Cardboard and shrink wrap, please visit www.wrap.org.uk for further details of the complete report.

Reusable Packaging Benefits

Reusable Packaging - Why use it over Single Packaging

plastic pallets - returnable reusable packaging equipment
Plastic pallets - Returnable Transit Equipmen that can be
used over and over again

Leading companies in a wide variety of industries across the globe implement reusable packaging for the economic, social and environmental value that re-use provides across the entire supply chain. Reusable pallets, hand-held containers, bulk containers, dunnage and other transport packaging items are used for the efficient storage, handling and distribution of products throughout the supply chain.

Reusable packaging products are generally manufactured in plastic, which is a durable material and is specifically designed for multiple trips and extended life. These products typically replace single-use transport packaging such as wood, polystyrene and cardboard boxes and are ideal for closed loop or well managed open-loop systems. Due to their reusable nature, they can offer a rapid return on investment and a lower cost-per-trip than single-use packaging products.

“Companies that have made the switch to reusable packaging experience lower shipping and labour costs, better product protection, more productive flow of goods through distribution channels, plus better ergonomics and improved worker safety. These companies have also reduced their waste management costs and positively impacted the environment by generating less waste and reducing the need to build expensive disposal facilities or more landfill sites. Disposable wood pallets, polystyrene and cardboard boxes comprise a significant amount of the waste generated by businesses in Europe and there is limited landfill space left, plus it is becoming more and more expensive to get rid of waste of this nature.

We have been providing returnable equipment services for over 10 years.  It is this experience that we intend to bring to our new office and commercial moves venture.

PPS have invested in an extensive pool of removal equipment including lidded tote boxes, computer crates, dollies and sack barrows.  All this removal equipment is available to hire for short or long term rentals.

Removal equipment rentals can be arranged by either contacting our experienced sales team or filling in one of our simple online order forms.

All our equipment will arrive with you on the arranged date clean and ready to use. Our crates can be sealed for added security and labels can also be provided to ensure that your move runs smoothly. To make your move even easier we can provide sack trucks and dollies to transport the crates.  We understand that certain items need extra protection so we can provide specially designed computer crates as well as accessories to protect the contents.

At PPS we understand that moving location can be a hectic period for any business, our professional service will remove a lot of the pressure at this time by handling all your packaging material requirements.  We have storage boxes, crates and packaging accessories available to hire.

We appreciate that even with the best organisation moves don’t always go according to plan.  With this in mind rental periods can be extended and extra equipment can be hired.  Our sales team are always available to discuss any extra requirements.

Joanne Moss from PPS Midlands said ‘We are always looking at new ways to expand our business and office and commercial moves seemed like the perfect new venture.  We already rent out returnable equipment and we were getting enquiries from potential customers wishing to hire removal equipment including tote boxes for storage whilst they moved or refurbished their premises.  We hated having to turn down business due to lack of stock so the obvious next step was to invest in a pool of removal equipment.

We are really excited to now be offering this service and we are looking forward to helping customers with their moves and refurbishments.’

Returnable Packaging Specialists Gear Up for Rise in Trade

PPS Midlands Limited Gets Ahead of the Game This Summer

Tray Hire and Returnable Transit Packaging Rental & Washing
Jonathan Issatt Business Development Manager for PPS says “There is always high demand for our services, especially tray hire and tray washing. In fact all of our returnable transit packaging (RTP) reaches seasonal heights during the late summer and up to the end of January. This is why we are increasing our RTP equipment stocks during May. June and July, we have focussed on tray hire, crate hire and both pallet / tote box rental and increased our pool sizes considerably in readiness for the increase in business”

“Most businesses are aware that returnable packaging is a major part of most logistics operations, and with that in kind it makes sense to ensure that full provision is made for the peaks in trade well in advance of our customers’ actual requirements”.

PPS Midlands Limited has a full range of support services which include tray, crate, tote box and pallet box washing. PPS Midlands at Measham in East Midlands and PPS East at Grimsby in the North East Lincolnshire are both certificated to BRC Storage & Distribution Quality Standard and are equipped with modern state-of-the-art wash facilities in addition to a number of industrial wash lines specifically designed to wash returnable transit packaging of every shape and size. Both factories are geared up to wash their own pool equipment and in addition can offer contract washing services for third party equipment throughout the peaks of the coming seasons.

PPS holds its annual conference in Doncaster this week and priority for us is how we can better improve our support to our customers both new and old to help reduce their costs, waste and carbon emission particularly during this busy period approaching us.

The clean equipment is then stacked on to plastic or timber pallets and wrapped in shrink wrap to make certain that the trays remain clean for their next use. The stacking heights for the trays can be varied depending on the type and size of vehicle that is to collect the washed trays.

PPS East Celebrates its 25th Birthday.

How the times have changed from when Great Grimsby was a major fishing port, and the filleting of the fish was done outside on the North Wall in all the elements. The packaging of the fish has also moved-on as well…

We’ve seen fish boxes evolve from when merchants packed their catch into wooden boxes, and secured the lids with nails, and then it moved onto single-use expanded polystyrene boxes for when the chilled supply chain was unpredictable, and now a shift back to returnable plastic boxes has started to happen apace.
PPS East now in its 25th year, was originally named TFA Box Company. It has grown from the early days of cleaning fish boxes outside by hand, to the present day of supplying returnable packaging to all food manufacturing businesses from a BRC accredited wash facility.

In the beginning TFA Box Company was just an idea of Icelandic fish selling agency, Fylkir. At the time it was known that fish box hire prices had doubled in price, so the directors of Fylkir put their ‘cod-heads’ together and decided to buy their own box supply to use for Icelandic fish landings on the Grimsby auction. This idea was initially only for Icelandic fish, but as time went by, more and more Non-Icelandic fish selling agents began to use their box services.

Now having their ‘fish-fingers’ in a new type of pie, the co-owners Peter Davey and Ron Woods began to realise this could be a good business partnership, and by 1998 Ron had sold his shares to Quayside Distribution a local fish haulier. They then moved the wash process onto the Grimsby fish auction, where new machinery was bought for the cleaning of the boxes. TFA was then turning over £200,000 per annum, and ‘haddock’ bright future.

In 2002, Quayside’s then co-owner, Steve Moore, sold his shares within the transport company, and part of that deal was the acquisition of the 50% shareholding of TFA Box Company. At this time there were four other fish box rental businesses in the Humber region, but TFA progressed quickly eventually gaining 98% of the available market, and reached a turnover of £1.5 million.

Having taken over most of the fish box rental work in the area, TFA out-grew their facility and moved premises to the Old Pontoon – where trawlers then landed their catch. This is where the business stayed until 2009.

Being solely a fish box business, and having already taken the majority of the work on the Humber banks, TFA needed to look at other opportunities. This is when alternative investment was offered by PPS, a company who already had a wash and rental business in the Midlands of the UK, but predominately supplied crates for meat and other food types.

The two companies had many things in common, but both brought areas of expertise, therefore a natural progression occurred in combining the two. Peter Davey and Steve Moore are still actively involved with the business today and together with PPS’s new dynamic team instigated the opening of a new wash site away from the dock area, which would continue to service the fish industry and Grimsby fish market with all types of plastic containers, but to also reach out to other food manufacturing businesses in Lincolnshire to supply and clean returnable transit equipment helping to reduce packaging waste.

The past 25 years have seen an industry change and evolve, and PPS is making sure that they are always well ‘plaiced’ to move with the times!

PPS EAST MOVES INTO RETURNABLE PACKAGING FOR ALL FOOD PRODUCTION BUSINESSES

PPS is a returnable packaging rental company that works with businesses to reduce their single trip packaging. They have two box and crate washing sites, one in the Midlands and another in Lincolnshire, and have worked with food manufacturing companies for over 10 years. Many companies are now looking in-depth at reducing their costs, waste and carbon footprint, and with PPS’s experience in crate pooling, whole supply chains can be converted to reusable options.

The Lincolnshire site PPS East, based in Grimsby; which previously only supplied and washed returnable boxes for the seafood industry, has recently undergone investment for a new unit to provide similar services, such as equipment rental and wash management to the non-fish sector; targeting meat, poultry and fresh produce.

This roll out to the whole of the food industry opens the doors for the Lincolnshire region, meaning businesses will now have a BRC accredited state-of-the-art industrial wash facility which has the ability to clean their plastic containers, tubs, boxes, and pallets.

Speaking on behalf of PPS, Kate Williamson reports, “There is a growing trend from many UK & European food processors to seriously investigate alternatives to single trip packaging. Retailers are now looking at waste in their whole supply chain, and the best option from both a cost and an environmental perspective is to change to a returnable packaging solution.  As part of this initiative we are also providing our returnable equipment to the bulk food suppliers to ensure that the cost saving and environmental impact comes into play at the very start of the supply chain. Our experience over the years is that on more than 90% of the projects on which we work, the returnable packaging option is a more cost effective solution than existing single trip packaging.”

PPS East have always provided a strong partnership to the fish processing sector in the Humber region; and this high level of service to all existing fish customers will continue, plus an introduction of new services to all other food manufacturing companies.

Returnable Transit Packaging for the Food Industry

Businesses in the food industry are becoming all too aware of the importance of packaging and transport and how this needs to be done in the best and most hygienic way. Food packaging is important not just to meet the industry standards but also to ensure that the food and produce tastes as good when it is eaten as it was when it was packed and transported.

Much business should now be considering and understanding the need for and importance of returnable transit packaging replacing the conventional single use cardboard box style packaging in food production.

PPS have dedicated staff to help any business looking to use returnable plastic transit equipment and are developing their range of returnable transit packaging throughout the UK.

They have identified a recently developing and growing market for their products in Scotland and are making great strides to seek out opportunities to expand their business north of the border. So much so that Iain McArthur from PPS is relocating to Scotland to promote PPS Service options to business throughout Scotland.

The costs savings and environmental benefits of using PPS returnable transit equipment is making many businesses sit up and take notice of the alternatives to traditional packaging and are now working with PPS on making further uses of their returnable transit equipment and washing services.
